  • How long do permanent makeup eyebrows last?
Permanent makeup can last anywhere from 1 year to 4+ years depending on the clients skin type and lifestyle. Color boosts are recommended around every 2 years to keep the pigment looking fresh. Some clients may require more touch ups to obtain their desired results. Things that can cause your PMU to fade more rapidly are: Sun Exposure, Smoking Cigarettes, Over Exposure to Salt Water or Chlorine, Iron Deficiency, Thyroid, Diabetes, Laser Treatments and Use of Active Ingredients in Skin Care like Retinol, Salicylic Acid, Mandelic Acid Etc.
  • Will I still have to fill in my brows with makeup?
Permanent makeup does not completely take away the need to fill in your eyebrows. Especially if you prefer a more bold, makeup effect. It does however, make filling in your brows much easier and faster as it gives you the outline without having to worry about shape or symmetry. Our goal at Bare Microblading is to give you natural, undetectable results while wearing zero makeup. you can always add makeup to them when you're feeling more bold some days!
  • How long does the procedure take?
Expect your initial session to take around 2-3 hours. The consultation is a part of your appointment. After filling out paperwork, I will numb you, then we consult, and map and outline your perfect shape.
  • How bad does it hurt?
The pain is very tolerable. In fact, most of our clients fall asleep and comment on how relaxing the experience is. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. You will be given a topical anesthesia to numb the area that will greatly reduce the pain. It can be slightly uncomfortable to some, but totally worth it!
  • How do you choose my shape and color?
We will find your perfect shape, size and placement by taking careful measurements and placing an outline exactly where the brows will be micropigmented- which also gives you an idea of what the shape will look like. Your color is chosen by your existing natural brow hair, and your skin tone.
  • Will I still have to wax/tweeze new growth?
Yes. A month after your procedure you will continue to shape your brows as normal if needed.
